Carbon dioxide emissions from business activities by year
While carbon dioxide emissions are significantly influenced by yearly production fluctuations, we are committed to reducing emissions through ongoing energy conservation efforts. Beyond our own energy savings, we recognize the importance of helping society reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the use of our products. Many of our products are designed to enhance energy efficiency in homes. Since our SDGs declaration in FY2020 and the establishment of specific numerical targets in FY2021, we have set a goal of a 30% reduction in CO₂ emissions, with FY 2019 as the baseline year for this reduction.

FY2023 carbon dioxide emissions by site and composition ratio (unit: t-CO2)
This graph shows the breakdown of the FUKUVI Group's CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by location. Most of the CO2 emissions come from energy consumption (non-energy origin CO2 is about 2%). Each site is working to reduce CO2 emissions by focusing on energy conservation through improvements in productivity, equipment, and other measures. Among the FUKUVI Group companies, FUKUVI Chemical accounts for about 76% of CO2 emissions, with the Head Office Plant and Sakai Plant accounting for most of the CO2 emissions. Both are designated as "Type 1 Energy Management Designated Factories" under the Energy Conservation Law, and we are promoting continuous energy conservation.
