Prevention of Global Warming

Carbon dioxide emissions from business activities by year

While carbon dioxide emissions are significantly influenced by yearly production fluctuations, we are committed to reducing emissions through ongoing energy conservation efforts. Beyond our own energy savings, we recognize the importance of helping society reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the use of our products. Many of our products are designed to enhance energy efficiency in homes. Since making our SDGs Declaration in FY2020, we have worked to reduce CO2 emissions with the goal of achieving a 30% reduction by FY2030 compared to FY2019 levels. Having reached this target ahead of schedule, we revised our goals in February 2026. Our new target is a 38% reduction by FY2030 compared to FY2013 levels, and we will continue our dedicated efforts to further reduce CO2 emissions.

※The figures in the graph above represent the emissions of our domestic group companies.

FY2025 carbon dioxide emissions by site and composition ratio (unit: t-CO2)

This graph shows the breakdown of the domestic group's CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by location. Most of the CO2 emissions come from energy consumption (non-energy origin CO2 is about 2%). Each site is working to reduce CO2 emissions by focusing on energy conservation through improvements in productivity, equipment, and other measures.
