Based on the resin molding technology and resin material opinions and knowledge cultivated over many years, we have focused on fiber-reinforced composites, which are composites of reinforcing fibers and resins. We aim to create new markets by developing materials and molding technologies that take advantage of the respective characteristics of thermoplastic and thermosetting resins.

CFRP Toughsite In thermoplastic resins, we promote the development of materials for fiber-reinforced composite intermediate substrates, from film molding to thin-layer prepreg and chopped sheet, and in thermosetting resins, we are developing pultrusion molding technology. We are also working on the use of recycled materials and bio-derived materials to realize a recycling-oriented society.

CFRTP
CFRTP is an open fiber thin-layer prepreg using thermoplastic resin as the matrix, which exhibits high strength and rigidity. Furthermore, chopped sheets, which are made by cutting open fiber thin-layer prepreg into small pieces, are ideal for forming parts with complex three-dimensional shapes. We are also developing carbon fiber composite materials using recycled and sustainable materials.

Pultrusion Molding
Pultrusion molding, which combines thermosetting resin and reinforcing fibers, is a technology suitable for long products. CFRP pultrusion molding can be used to produce high-strength, high-rigidity components, and a variety of reinforcing fibers can be used, with some CFRP pultruded materials having tensile strength four times greater than steel.
